“Looking for wabi-sabi” is part of my final Master’s project “Something About_” – an intuitive approach to the exploration and meaning of wabi-sabi. Taken on polaroid film which expired in 2009, thus through the uneven emulsion and colour shifting emphasising the rawness and imperfection involved in this japanese term (侘寂). I shot the series, consisting of six polaroids, on two consecutive days in December 2019, taking photos of whatever felt embodied wabi-sabi.
